Behavior interventionist

Two Roads Academy (a division of Green Mountain Behavior Consulting) is growing and seeks skilled, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our collaborative team!   Two Roads Academy is an alternative school with a focus on individualized hands-on learning with an emphasis on outdoor education and personalized learning.  The behavior Instructor/Interventionist (BI) will be part of a collaborative team and will work with students to increase skills in school & community. BIs work directly with individual students to implement their behavior support plans Personalized Learning Plans and IEPs. The BI assists with teaching communication, academic subjects,  social, self-care and life skills - while assisting to reduce challenging behaviors.

- Maintain physical fitness, demonstrate physical prevention techniques

-Have flexibility to participate in outdoor education and overnight trips

-have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, reliable vehicle and be able to transport students to community settings.

The behavior interventionist will work under the guidance of their behavior analyst and/or assistant behavior analyst to implement academic and behavior programs and supports- 1:1 with students in the small school setting, community, outdoor, and career settings. Successful candidates will have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Minimum of a Bachelors degree required.

Preferred: 1+ years experience in education/mental health/behavioral field.
